ABOUT: EAST KENT JUSTICE FOR PALESTINIANS
The aim of the group is to work in the east Kent area in support of justice for the Palestinian people, recognising that a just settlement and an end of occupation is a precondition for a sustainable future for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
The Group will seek to promote this aim through such activities as:
- raising awareness through public meetings and events, publications and the press;
- supporting appropriate boycott activities and promoting the sale of Palestinian products;
- making community-to-community links with Palestinian institutions such as schools and other educational institutions, religious institutions, and NGOs, and links with Israeli and other Jewish groups which are working in support of Palestinian rights;
- raising funds for projects to support the Palestinian people.
Membership of the Group is open to all who support the aim of the Group, including those of all faiths and none.
Agreed at a general meeting on 22 July 2010
